Incubated by Panacea, Base utilizes synthetic biology strategies and utilizes a novel base editor that can push the limits of gene editing. Additionally, it is using this base editor to edit other important cell types, NK and T cells, to create off-the-shelf cells that are able to live longer in the human body and can infiltrate solid tumors, overcoming immune suppression in the tumor microenvironment.
